The Long Beach City College men's volleyball team earned a straight-set win over El Camino College, defeating the Warriors 3-0 on Wednesday night at the Hall of Champions.
Long Beach handled the match from start to finish, winning 25-20, 25-10, and with a close contest at the end 26-24.
The Vikings were led by Ezekiel Sablan, who recorded 16 kills on .636 hitting while adding two blocks. Alden Jacobs followed with 10 kills on an efficient .600 and added seven digs.
Ethan Hammond contributed six kills and two blocks, while Jared Preciado added three kills and four total blocks at the net.
At setter, Ryder Tuaolo and Xian Gonzalez combined for 27 assists, helping guide the offense to a .471 team hitting percentage.
Defensively, Daniel Patino led the back row with nine digs, while the Vikings totaled 31 digs as a team. At the net, Long Beach finished with 11 total blocks.
The Vikings will return to action at home against Moorpark College on March 20, with first serve set for 6:00 p.m. in the Hall of Champions.
