Vikings Rack Up Wins and Qualifiers at Cerritos Multi/Open
The Long Beach City College track and field team turned in a strong showing at the Cerritos Multi/Open, earning multiple wins and key state qualifying marks.

The Long Beach City College track and field team continued its strong early-season campaign at the Cerritos Multi/Open on February 27–28 at Cerritos College. The Vikings earned multiple event victories, several state qualifying standards, and numerous top-eight finishes across the two-day meet.
Event Winners
LBCC athletes captured three event titles during the competition. Jaden Akens led the way in the throws with victories in both the shot put and discus, highlighting a dominant performance in the throwing events. On the track, Fudail 'King' Burns won the 400-meter hurdles, showing strong hurdling rhythm and speed. In the field events, Mia Jamerson claimed the long jump title to give the Vikings another win on the women's side.

The Vikings Travel to San Diego next week to compete at the Point Loma Nazarene University Invitational next Saturday, March 14th.
