Vikings Sweep Cerritos to Extend Win Streak to 13
The Long Beach City College women’s volleyball team continued its dominant stretch of play, extending its win streak to 13 matches with another straight-set victory.
The Long Beach City College women's volleyball team continued their dominant run, defeating Cerritos College in straight sets (25–15, 25–22, 25–11) on the road Friday night.
With the victory, the Vikings (15–8, 7–0 South Coast Conference) extended their win streak to 13 matches and have now won 39 of their last 41 sets during the streak.
Long Beach showcased its trademark presence at the net, hitting .253 as a team while holding Cerritos to just .084. Ryleeh Tuaolo led the attack with five kills, three aces, and two blocks, while Kyla Jones and Marissa Krebs each added five kills apiece. Camille Agrupis and Emeli Muagututi'a combined for 23 assists, running a smooth offensive system that kept Cerritos off balance all evening.
Defensively, the Vikings totaled 46 digs and six blocks. Tyreana Allen anchored the back row with 12 digs, and Alexandra Rosquin chipped in five digs and two blocks.
The win keeps Long Beach undefeated in conference play and firmly atop the South Coast standings heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
The Vikings return home on Wednesday, November 12, when they host L.A. Harbor College at 6:00 p.m. inside the Hall of Champions.
